I'm at the doctor's office. I fear I may die before I complete the paperwork. Of old age, I mean.

Anyway. If any of you guys have suggestions for topics for either of the weekly columns, please send them my way. As we (hopefully) ramp up production again over the next few weeks, I'll need all the help I can get to keep the blog up-to-date.

Do an article on how to get a million dollar distribution deal on a picture you only spent $30,000 on! ;-)

What's your specials list looking like? Without plot spoilers, I'd love to see a list of things that you are thinking that you might have to do in post.

10 muzzle flashes
2 explosions

I'm curious. If you can elaborate, I'd love to hear your thoughts on how you might accomplish some of the effects.

Andrew -- if I knew how to do that, I'd be paying an intern to write this blog for me!

Mike -- we're trying to do most of our effects, including muzzle flashes and explosions, practically. Most post stuff will be of the "fixes" variety, like wire removal, painting out an errant C-stand, etc.

I'll plan to do a detailed post on the subject ASAP.

Practicals, Nice. That way the talent reactions are real and the light spill from flashes are real. I would hate to be a character that meets their demise by explosion!

When we get a C-stand or some gaff tape in the shot we call that "A little victory for G&E".
